February is in Full Swing at First Steps

What an exciting month we have ahead of us at First Steps!  Registration is ongoing and the classes are really filling up fast.  If you have not already turned in your paperwork, make sure to drop that off ASAP.  We want to see all of our smiling faces back next year.

This month we have plenty of things to look forward to:
  • Mr. Groundhog has told us there will be 6 more weeks of winter... boo hoo.. What a blessing it is to live in Texas where hopefully it will start to warm up a bit sooner!  The children enjoyed hearing about this annual tradition and making their own predictions about the weather.
  • The students may wear their pajama's to school on the 10th and 11th for our Valentine's Party.  The teachers will send home more information about how each class is celebrating this special holiday.
  • There will be no school on February 15th as we observe President's Day.
  • February 25th at 6:30 we will have a Kindergarten Orientation meeting for those parents who have children entering into Kindergarten in the fall.  In this meeting, we will give you all the information you need to know to navigate through this process and make sure everyone is ready for the start of the 2010-2011 school year.
  • Our Four Year Old Classes will have their vision and hearing screening on February 23rd and 24th.
  • First Steps Preschool will be a part of the Katy Rodeo Parade on February 27th.  Please see the display as you enter the school for ways to volunteer, donate materials, or ride along on the float.  We would also love to see many First Steps Families along the parade route so plan on coming out to see the parade!
Thank you for your continued support toward our school!
